The Boathouse is one of the most beautiful buildings on the site having its own rare charm and quality hard to find today.  The individual stone and brick details is superbly with its own Italianate spirt – picture postcard material.

It was too small to be able to be used for residential accommodation and is presently twinned with one of the Hall apartments and offered for use to residents for meetings, music room, etc.

The lake flows through the arched opening under the boathouse where once a small punt or dingy would have been moored; steps rise up to the gardens by the lakeside. Bay windows open out over the lake to give breath-taking picturesque views in all directions.
