The Bear’s Paw dates from the 19th century and is managed by a family run company based in Cheshire. They bought The Bear’s Paw in 2008 after seeing its potential to be a thriving gastro pub with rooms.
Sadly, a few a few weeks before re-opening, there was an electrical fire which destroyed much of the building resulting in a complete re-build and an investment of £2.5million. The family were delighted to open the doors of the newly refurbished Bear’s Paw Inn in May 2009.
The restaurant serves locally-sourced seasonal produce, freshly cooked and has been recognised for its quality with an AA Rosette dining award. Cheeses all come from within a 30-mile radius of the inn, with the majority of seafood coming straight from the trawler in Lancashire. The delicious ice-cream comes from the popular Cheshire Farm Ice Cream.
Six real ales, all from local micro breweries, take centre stage on the bar with many various guest appearances seen throughout the year.
